Crunching the Numbers

I gave my last lecture in my survey class today. After adding the slide show to the class's website, I crunched the numbers and discovered that my students have spent just more than a day - 24.1 hours, to be precise - listening to me in the past four months. I'm more impressed by my ability to distill 135 years of American history into that short span of time than their ability to sit there. But I'm REALLY glad I don't have to do the whole story in one day!
