Silly economy

While I'm happy with my current job, it isn't tenure-track, and it has a killer teaching load. So I'm applying for a number of tenure-track positions this year. And I just heard the first - and what I fear won't be the last - news that the search for a job I was excited about has most likely been canceled due to budget cuts. Grr, bad economy. Grrr
